Have A Question? I can't remember shit about the questions asked of me regarding GTSR. So, if you have a question, use the form above "Got A Question? Click Here To Submit Question". This may already be the dumbest assed FAQ page on the entire internet. Any legitimate questions pertaining to the game(s) will be answered and posted on this page. All other questions will be answered, and have a very possible chance of making it on this page. I don't discriminate...it's feedback, and no one talks to me.
Signups www.gtsr.net/seasonform.html is the link to access your weekly picks page, which, once the season begins, will switch over to the new week on Monday or Tuesday, depending on time, and other minor factors. That's about all I have for that.
Weekly Picks If you miss a week of picks, or didn't make them on time (horribly late), gone. If you never made picks for Week 1, then why are you reading this. If you registered, but didn't make Week 1 picks, gone. Registration is JUST for reserving your spot. In the case of emergencies, I allow reprieves. As long as it's legit. I've accepted many various issues. We've had hurricanes, and power outages. I'm not an a-hole, but it's at my discretion, and if I think it's a load of crap, expect me to describe it as such. Also, for weeks with Thursday, Friday, and Saturday games...dammit, this year's schedule is stupid. No one needs all this extra crap in the NFL schedule. ANYWAY, shit like this, is just like any other week. You must have your picks in before that first game on whatever the hell day begins the football week, and it has to be for the entire week. Half-forms are dumb. If you submit a half-form, I'll remind you to fill out the rest, and if you don't, you'll automatically take losses for all games not picked. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 48 hours of the weekly picks, email me...preferably with your picks (just in case). Nothing is perfect, so if the form eats it (which it has), or uh, there's "issues" with the form and the email (which there has been), or if the site dies (which it has), it's always good to make sure the picks are in before it's too late. The form is not a requirement to use. If you're more comfortable kickin it old school with just a simple email to me with your picks, that's fine. Just put your name in there somewhere. You can change your picks any time before the first game's kickoff, but it'll piss me off. Every week, Dannie and I print up pages, and I WRITE all your picks down on paper, and as the games go by, I mark whether it's a win or a loss. So, if I wrote your entire week's picks on paper (in preparation of the weekend), and you change it...well, that's what annoys me. I use a pen, I'm not in 3rd grade. My GTSR sheets will look like sheet. And, then I'll wonder why you're so gawdam indecisive.
JiM's Picks I make my picks by the same deadlines as you make yours. I don't cheat, never have. I find it pointless, since it's wrong, and GTSR is free to play. If I ever win a season, I will brag endlessly, you better believe that...but it'll be due to me having a good season, not because I assbagged it, and cheated. Any accusations directed towards me regarding cheating will result in absolutely nothing, because you're own douchebaggedness will be bad enough to deal with when looking in the mirror. You won't need my help feeling bad about being completely wrong.
Leaderboards The Leaderboard is the main rankings page. It lists every single player currently active in GTSR for that season. The Division Leaderboards are the same damn thing, but split into divisions, duh. The Weekly Winners leaderboard displays the person/people who has the best record for each week.
| Explanation of Divisions Everyone will be in 2 divisions max. The first division will be a "regional" division, based upon the location you enter on your signup form. You'll either be piled into a general region, or, if there's enough people to warrant it, a specific location division, such as "California" or "Florida". Please be honest with where you live, it's the only way to kick ass against people that live nearby you, including friends and the people who beat you up in high school. :( The second division will be based upon GTSR experience. If you're new, then you'll be in a division made specifically for the newbies, and since I'm a jerk, I'm going to name it something completely assinine. If you're a veteran, you'll either be placed into the "Midway" Division, which is a designation set for players that have under a certain amount of wins from their last season completed. For people that match the "certain amount" or exceed it, you'll be lumped into divisions based upon your amount of wins. The "amount" is all based on the previous season's records. I setup the divisions hours before kickoff. I wait until the last minute, so I have the most accurate listing of people that will be playing. The divisions will be made public after the first Week 1 update, which is usually after that damn Thursday game. Stupid, dumbass, stupid Thursday game.

Tie Games We've had only one tie game in an NFL season since GTSR has started. When I was compiling the "all-time" stats, it seriously screwed with me. Magically typing out records for 256 games, and being off by 1 on everyone's record. NOT FUN. Once I figured it out, I felt like a stupid ass moron, and yet was relieved that I didn't lose a game on my own doing. On that note, any NFL tie games do not count on your record.
WDG : Wise Decision Grasshopper Side game that started in GTSR V. It's commonly referred to as "Eliminator", "Survivor", or "Suicide", whatever. You pick 1 team each week. If that team wins, you move onto the next week. If you're wrong, then no more WDG for you this season. You can only use each team once. The person to last the longest wins.
Bowl Games Same deal as the main leaderboard, except this is for college Bowl Games. Instead of picking 1 week at a time, you pick EVERY Bowl Game at once, and the leaderboard will be updated as the games finalize throughout the weeks. Best record wins.
Draft Side game in the spring. We play the 1st round of Draft only. All you have to do is select who will go in the first 32 spots of the draft. 1st pick is worth 1 point, 2nd pick is worth 2 points, etc etc, 32nd pick is worth 32 points. Most points wins.
Fantasy Futbol After being housed on Yahoo for 2 years, GTSR Fantasy Football was moved to ESPN in 2005. Now in it's 2nd year at ESPN, GTSR has branched out into 2 Fantasy Football Keeper Leagues. One is a 14-Team League, the other, a 10-Team League. I choose who gets invited to the Keeper Leagues based on senority. Whoever's been lingering at GTSR longest, gets invited first. After 3-5 days, if you don't accept the invite, then I move on. I'm impatient, I like knowing who's going to be in the league asap, and I like getting the draft out of the way.
Tiebreakers I'm gonna try to explain this quickly : Leaderboard Champion - Head-to-Head Weekly Records. If Player A goes 11-5 in Week 1, and Player B is 6-10, Player A goes up 1-0 in Head-to-Head...now apply this for all 17 weeks. If nothing is resolved after this, then screw it, you both deserve to win. Division Champion(s) - Exactly the same as leaderboard. Weekly Tiebreaker - This pertains to each single week. We go by Monday Night Score. You pick the score for both teams involved in the final Monday Night game of the week. The closest to "zero out" wins. Example : Score is 33-10. You picked 30-13. Opponent picked 20-17. Your 30 is 3 under, and 13 is 3 over, so you have a "0". Opponent's 20 is 13 under, and opponent's 17 is 7 over, therefore a combined 6 under. You win. It's basically "total score combined", but I like being weird. If both players zero out, or have the same tiebreaker score, then both players will be awarded the weekly win. Anyone that manages a perfect record in any week, wins the week. I don't care if 9 people have a perfect record in week 7, all 9 win Week 7. Weekly Winners Tiebreaker - Best combined record for weeks won via win % becomes the weekly winners winner. Winner...............winner. WDG - If everyone remaining loses in any given week, then everyone remaining advances to the next week. If there are multiple players after Week 17, then everyone remaining is declared the winner. Bowl Games - The Championship Game score. Closest to "zero out" wins. Draft - There isn't one. Fantasy Futbol - There isn't one. There's a playoff structure. Duh.
Comments / Trash Talk There is a section for comments on each week's join form. If you wish to include comments with your join form, go ahead. I will post them at my own discretion. Anything deemed obscene, will not be posted. I may think it's funny either way though.
